CLEAR BUSINESS MODELS, WELL TOLD

Every commercial organization must be absolutely clear about its business model and how it creates value. According to a recent IBM study, two thirds of CEOs expect their organizations to be inundated with change over the next two years. As a result, "CEOs are now giving business model innovation as prominent a place on their agendas as product, service, market and operational innovation." One of the long tails of business model innovation is having to explain it and deliver on it.

Too often a business model is not well understood beyond the core group that authored it. Consider what we'll call the Cramer Test: A viewer calls into CNBC's Mad Money and asks for a snapshot of your business. How would Cramer describe your model? What button would he hit after he answers? Unfortunately, that's how quickly assessments of business models can be made by customers, partners, investors and the press. You may understand your model but does everyone else?

The Neubrand team can help you develop any part of your business model and describe it in simple, substantial, and differentiated terms. As part of our work, we will equip you to present your business to customers, investors and partners in ways that drive rational and emotional understanding and acceptance. As Edward Tufte, Professor Emeritus at Yale University and data visualization pioneer advocates, you should present as much content as possible while requiring the least amount of work necessary to understand it. He calls it "Simple design, intense content." A principle our team lives by.

We then help you use your business model to drive innovation into your business plans, product development roadmaps, marketing plans and sales strategies.

The Neubrand team can do the same for government and non-profit organizations. Although driven more by a sense of mission than commercial objectives, organizations that answer to donors, sponsors or citizens must be equally clear about how their operations create value.
